Eating right and exercising daily is hard for anyone, It’s especially hard for those that are battling cancer. We may have gained weight from chemo and steroids, we may be suffering from joint pain caused by chemo and hormone suppressants, or maybe we have just been sick, tired and have eaten way too much comfort food.
We all know that eating healthy and moving every day can help alleviate the pain and feel better. But it can be so hard, and it’s overwhelming. There’s so many different diets and exercise plans out there, it gets confusing. Most of the exercises are so painful on joints, and it’s hard to get down on the floor.
So I put together this super easy beginner challenge. It has different starter exercises for each day. There is also a different food challenge for each day. When we only have to stick to something for one day, it doesn’t feel overwhelming and hopeless. We can discover what foods we can easily cut from our diet, how simple it can be to eat more fruit and veggies, and we may also discover the things we know what we can live without.
Some of you may find this way too easy, but for some of us, this will be a challenge. You can lower or raise reps, add minutes to walking, add more food challenges to each of your days. Do what feels right for you. Keep track of your steps, try to improve step count each day. One step at a time, one day at a time, we can do this!
I’ve included a printable calendar that had the exercise and food challenge for each day. There is also a printable step challenge, with simple fun ways to increase your steps each day. It’s not a whole lot, but it’s easily manageable.
I’m also not any kind of health and fitness guru. I don’t have any magic potions to sell. This is just something I put together for us beginners to try and discover what works for us.
